Hi, I'm Deborah.
People are my passion. I'm a UX/UI designer with a background in visual design, copywriting and advertising. Equally important is my work history including much boots-on-the-ground interaction with customers. The end user's satisfaction has always been a driving force for me—whether as a sales person or as a graphic designer.
My process starts with people. I develop personas which help me frame the project goals. For the personas, I create some hypotheses about who these people are--their pain points, their motivations and their goals. The next step is finding real people like my personas to validate the hypotheses. Data collected will inform the thinking for the next step, sketches.
My tools of choice: paper, pencil and a nice eraser—because sketches are where to work the kinks out. From there, I have a basis to build wireframes, get feedback from stakeholders, tweak and create mockups. After that, it’s essential to build a prototype so we can get it in front of users and collect more data to base iterations on. When we can document our evolution with people-based data, then it’s time for development.
